Vessel Ltd. Soil and Botanical Group continues its *soil health program with the advent of Spring. At this time, the stage has been set for the continued development of the soil and transition to nurturing ,and feeding the emerging biology.
Transitions to warmer soil temperatures and more sunlight increase biological soil activity and photosynthesis. As grass leaf area increases and grows, root structures begin to branch and intermingle with the biology in the soil. This is prime time to begin feeding beneficial microorganisms and encourage their diversity and dominance throughout the Spring season.
As Spring unfolds , it is the time of year to begin the transition toward "treading lightly" on the soil and surrounding landscape. During the summer months, input requirements should ideally reach their lowest point ( with only an occasional weed & feed when required ) , and the natural rhythms of trimming and watering can easily be maintained.
